on February 2, the first AP1000 residual heat removal pump (nuclear class III pump) jointly developed by Hunan Xiangdian Changsha Pump Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xiangdian long pump) and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute successfully passed the prototype appraisal in Xiangdian long pump. This marks the success of the development of China's first AP100, especially the non-zero residual heat removal pump (nuclear level III pump) with relatively low creep resistance. At the meeting, top domestic experts and representatives in the field of nuclear power listened to the "summary report on prototype development" and other technical reports made by the developer, inspected the production test site of Xiangdian long pump, reviewed the technical documents, witnessed the test process, gave high praise, and unanimously agreed that the prototype of AP1000 residual heat removal pump (nuclear class III pump) passed the appraisal

ap1000 residual heat removal pump is one of the main equipment of the normal residual heat removal system of the third generation nuclear power technology. It is the only nuclear level pump other than the main pump and belongs to nuclear safety level III pump

this prototype is the first residual heat removal pump (nuclear class III pump) developed in accordance with ASME code for AP1000 in China, reaching the international advanced level. Its successful development marks that Xiangdian Changhe Pump Co., Ltd. has complete nuclear class III pump design, manufacturing, inspection and testing capabilities, has established a perfect nuclear quality assurance system, and has the conditions for mass production of nuclear pumps
